My fans!

I am now been here for 3 days.  I am going on my fourth.  I have had many mini adventures during my time so far.  Granted everything is an adventure when you know less than ten words in German.  Always an adventure.  Anyway, I have so far in my orientation watched a movie in German.  That was fun.  I had know idea what was going on!! I have also opened up a bank account as well as gotten a handy.  That is a cell phone not a sexual reference.  I have toured the town.  I went past the building where the Brothers Grimm lived.  It was cool to see that.  Everything in the town of Marburg is just like a fairy tale.   I learned that the created of my college back in 1527 was friends with Martin Luther. My university is the oldest Protestant college in the world.  Oh and he had a lot of balls when he opened up the college.  Not only was it hard for him to open the college, but he had three testes.   Also there are several churches in town that are very old.  One church dates back to 1200.  It is one of the oldest buildings in the town.  That building was also the main headquarters of the Gestapo for the state of Hessen, I believe.  There is so much history in everything around here.

When I say everything in the town is a fairy tale, I literally mean it.  There is a castle on top of a hill and then the town is in levels. You take elevators to get up to the different levels.  It is so beautiful here.  I will post some pictures at some point in this trip.

Anyway I am just going with the flow.  It is a very fun trip so far.  I really need to learn some German, but it shall come.

Well I have an International Party to go to so I shall talk later!!

Cheers,

Seth
