The little phone that could.

Hello,

This is a story about a little phone that was gone.  He was no where to be found.  Listen up people because this is the story of the little phone and it starts with a lot of sound. It was a rainy Friday night in the town of Marburg.  There was a music festival going on in the town.  It was spread out though 14 different pubs.  The music festival last for only three days!! A group of friends and I decided to meet up at the pub called the Quodlibet.  I have no idea where it is, but I told them I would figure it out.  We decided to met at 9.  I left Wehrda at 8:00 and was off.  I knew the general direction, so I went toward the known.  After walking about a quarter of a mile, I met this German tutor that was going to the same place.  I had actually gone the wrong way.  So I turned around.  We eventually get to the pub and have to wait 35 minutes to get in.  My friends were a little disappointed that I didn't make it on time, but oh well.  It happens!! We get into the pub and turns out that the band was all instruments.  It was just okay.  Well, it wasn't my type of music anyway. Then again do I have a type of music?? not really.  The one thing that was terrible though was how loud it was.  It was so loud that when this man from Germany asked for my number (that sounds a little funny, but its the truth) I just gave him my phone.  No it wasn't just a random guy, it was a tutor that I know from the orientation.  Turns out he took it and just left. Never trust a drunk German.  haha
So now I am once back to being without a phone.  Sorta freeing, but yet restricting because he kinda stole my phone.  I end up having to leave because two people from France and I went to another pub.  I suppose I didn't have to leave, but I wanted too.

We eventually make it to the party and dance the night away.  Completely forgetting about the phone that was lost.

The next day, I woke up to find a facebook notification from a friend that someone has found my phone.  I have to call this number to get it back. Well without a phone, it is sorta hard to call.  I eventually found a phone from a friend and called it.  It was another tutor from orientation that had taken the phone from some people that were going to actually steal it.  I had to go to a pub that she was working at to get it back.  The only problem...I have no idea where it is.

So I end up saying I shall see you there at 9 or so.  I made my way over to the other dorms in the town and ate some lunch with a few guys!! It was so good.  We made a plan to go out on a search and rescue for my phone.  I have a general idea of where it is, but as it turns out I am not good that that whole general idea thing.

We end up searching all over the Oberstadt looking for this pub.  It would have been easier to ask from the  very beginning, but we were all guys.  Who asks for directions anyway.

We finally find the pub after asking and then we make our way up to the top of the pub to search for my savior! It was not hard to find her.  She was right at the top of the stairs.  She threw me my phone and we were reunited!!

All in all it was a great time to search for the phone.  It was great because I ended up meeting many more people as well as became more familiar with the city!! It was a great ending to a potentially money losing situation.

Yep and then I found five dollars.
